Week 62: New Boot Goof'n

Hey yall! what a week it has BEEN. we've had fun, we've had miracles, we've been exhausted as always. Sister Johnson and i have been PICKING UP the work here. Lynn Haven has been kinda dead for us, so we made a goal to focus on finding. We prayed, and we worked, and here are some of the miracles.

1. Judy. Part 1. Tuesday we were like AHHHHH WE'RE GONNA FIND!!! so we started to knock doors but were reaaaaally nervous cause of recent bad experiences. but we started doing it anyways! no one answered the first two doors, but the third one a lady opened. We introduced ourselves and asked if shed like to hear a message about Christ. She said yes! That never happens!! So we shared a scripture from Luke. We ended up talking with her for a long time and teaching part of the plan of salvation! We asked if we could come back and teach the rest and she said YES! THAT NEVER HAPPENS EITHER!! what a wild ride. 

2. Dave is out of the hospital and back at home! this is a miracle and... not. its good to be out of the hospital, but its not because hes healed. its because his insurance wouldnt cover any more :/ So if everyone could be praying for Dave that would be great. 

3. We drove 4 1/2 hours to jacksonville this week for a leadership meeting, and on the way there we texted like half our gray dots, which was about 50 people. And we have set up appointments with like 4 of them! Thats a really good statistic considering most all those people previously told the missionaries they werent interested. So cool, so fun.

4. Judy. Part 2. We came back to teach Judy and first of all she was actually there which is a new one. And second her whole family was too. its her, her husband, and her two adult sons. so we introduced ourselves and then they all scatter. but their mobile home is quite small, so they didnt have many places to go. Her husband and i kept making eye contact as he listened from the other room, and i could hear her son michael in the kitchen right next to us the whole time. We taught the rest of the plan of salvation. Judy seemed to love it. I felt the Spirit. She accepted the offer to learn more. Then i was like hey michael. and he comes around the corner so i could see him, and im like were you listening the whole time? and he nods quietly, but he was BEAMING. His eyes were lit up. and he had this little smile on his face... it was so cool. He asked his questions, and they both found a day that we could come back. It was SO cool. Two new people!

Some other fun things that happened this week:

- had to say goodbye to sister swain and sister petersen at mlc 😭 but ill see them soon i guess so its fine 

- on the way to mlc.... sister johnson and i bought cowboy boots. and i love them. tons. so if youre against me and my boots, kindly walk the other way thank you :)

- this one explains the email title. Sunday was chinese new year! (welcome to the year of the rabbit) And our favorite fam, the surdukowskis had us over! And they made reaaaaallllyyyy good chinese food. And they decorated. sister johnson and i are kicking ourselves for not taking a picture. but anyways while we were there the boots came up. (no i was not wearing them) but then we were talking about them and a couple of them have boots. brother surdukowski was like i bet you danced around in yours all week and i said yessir i did of course. i dance around anyways. let alone in my new boots. so hes like well i gotta show you this video. so he pulls it up and its this funny skit of this sherriff in short shorts buying cowboy boots. and he comes out with his white boots on and hes dancing all over and he goes "im just goofin...... new boot goofin." and he said thats what i needed to title my email. and so it is. 

its been a good week :)) im happy to be here. last week we drove to jax, this week we drive to tally. (tallahassee) but instead of 4 1/2, its only like 2. but its zone conference this week! and we're excited. So itll be fun. :))
