"I am the natural man"

The subject of this email is what I said to Sister Frazier today as we sat in our beds and I went to get leftover chocolate from the holidays haha - happy new years!!
This week was absolutely craziness. Our friend Darinel was all set to get baptized this Sunday, but last minute he texted us the day before and said that he wants to wait a little longer... there were definitely a lot of emotions going on in my head, but overall I am grateful that we can trust in God's plan for Him. Sister Frazier and I are just happy to keep helping him move forward on the covenant path! He came to church the next day along with some of our other friends and helped them all out with their hymn books. It was really sweet.
The other friend I want to mention today is Erik!! He is so amazing! We met him Christmas day and taught him how to pray over the phone. He was a referral from a YouTube ad and is searching for truth!! He told us he wants to be baptized, but he wants to learn a little bit more first. The second time we met with him he said something had changed in his life and he felt a peace he had never felt before. It was so amazing to see Jesus Christ work miracles in his life and give him that rest he was so desperately seeking.
As a mission, to start off the New Year we are reading in the Book of Mormon together looking for God as our loving Heavenly Father, the Atonement of Jesus Christ - his mercy and grace, and the Doctrine of Christ. Even in these few days it's amazing how my perspective of the Book of Mormon has grown. In every interaction that God has with Lehi and his family, it is always one of love. It's been an amazing way to start off the New Year.
Anyways, love you all!! Buenas suerte en 2023 🎉🎉
