Hermana Gardner: 12/15/22
6 meses!!!!

Wow these last two weeks have been a blur, but full of SO many miracles that help me remember that God's hand is in every part of this work.
The first crazy thing that happened was the English ward we were serving in got demolished! They switched up ward boundaries in the Tigard area and now the Cook Park ward is no longer (RIP Cook Park). So now we only serve in the Spanish branch and there are 2 companionships in the branch and we are not short of work to do.
We have so many friends who are SO close to making covenants with God! Some of them who need prayers are Asher, Isabelle, Arvalo, Mario, Cony and Ana Claudia. I know only they can make these steps closer to God and we are here to guide them and help them feel and recognize the Spirit. We had a really cool moment where I saw that very clearly.
We were going to visit our friend Michael ay the end of the day. We didn't know if he would be home and we just thought we would invite Him to church even though we knew he worked Sundays. We got to his door and his wife answered. Her name is Melissa and we had never met her before, but she immediately let us in her house. We asked how her relationship with God has been and she said it hasn't been good and she had just been praying to know if she had been forgiven by God and then we knocked on the door. She said it was as if we were her angels sent from God.
We were able to share some scriptures from the Book of Mormon and help her realize that she had been forgiven. It was such a beautiful moment to be the answer to someone's prayers. I know this moment isn't just something that missionaries can have, but everyone can as we are sensitive to the promptings of the spirit. We had prayed earlier that day to be lead to someone who needed our help and God tool us there. In Alma 26:37 we learn from the missionary Ammon that...
"God is mindful of every people whatsoever land they may, yea he numbereth his people and His bowels of mercy are over all the Earth. Now this is my joy and my great Thanksgiving, and I will give thanks to my God forever, amen".
I'm so grateful that we have a loving Heavenly Father who is intimately mindful of each of our situations. I invite you all to pray to be the answer to someone else's prayers and I know God will guide you somewhere.
Chao cabra's (I learned this is Chilean slang for "the bro's" or your friends)
