¡Hola mi familia y a mis amigos!

This week was definitely different from weeks past. This week was hot. Here in Paraguay it gets up to 105 and it just doesn't go down all day. We sweat and just walk around and teach all day. It is difficult but everyday I feel successful and I know that I am doing the Lord's work. We just never stop drinking water. Also our apartment is set up a little bit weird so only one of the rooms in our apartment actually gets cold so we have started to study in our room. If you go into any other room you will start sweating so fast.

This week I was able to go on divisions with Elder Orr which was very fun and I led the area and met with a bunch of our friends and put our friend Matias on date. He just needs permission from both of his parents so I will keep you all updated on that. This week we worked a lot with the friends that we have on date because they are the top priority. They are the closest to making this convent with God so we have to prepare them and make sure they know the teachings and commandments.

We have had more difficulties with our other baptisms which honestly was expected. We had this wedding that we were planning and spending time on that but that fell through so now those three baptisms fell through. We will plan on having this wedding quite a bit more in advance hopefully with more preparation. One bright side is that we will be having a baptism this week which will also be my first baptism. David, our super awesome friend, is thirteen and he is pretty much completely ready. All we have to do is baptize him. The work is difficult but so worth it. Most of our baptisms fell through with church because people did not show up or we learned about problems with our current baptisms at church. It was good though because we got to go to a birthday party of a member and have a BBQ and sing a bit of karaoke.

This week was also difficult because for some reason on Friday my body decided to be sick and I was super nauseous all day. That was a little difficult because when you plan the weeks and who you are going to work with and then all the sudden you get sick you are just a little bit behind. It all worked out and we are having patience with everything. Also I guess an update on my Spanish I would say is going well. I am at a point where I can understand and I can teach in lessons. It has been something so cool seeing myself improve each day and now I can fully function in a completely different country with a completely different language. Sometimes I just have to take a step back and be proud of myself.

That is all for this week that was just a little bit crazy! Hope that you all are having a great Christmas season! Love you all!

Love Elder Acor
