LITERALLY WHAT IS LIFE

From: Kelsey Sumsion <kelsey.sumsion@missionary.org>

Hi family! This week has been crazy as always so let's do the whole run down

Monday: we hang out as a zone every p day and we usually go to our stake center. There was a youth dance over the weekend and all the sound equipment was still there and elder Hancock's parents are dj's so we had an epic dance party. We also played murderer in the dark and it was super fun. We went to some members fhe that they hold with inactive members and we were able to unblock ourselves from our friend chers phone! This is a big deal because she is on date for January and we have been blocked since I started teaching her in September. And now she texts us all the time it's so epic. We had dinner with some member that are remodeling their house and their living room was GORGEUOUS and then we ate dinner in their construction site of a dining room. It felt a little too real to me haha can't wait for the house to be done when I get home. We played mafia for fhe with the ysa and I knew who the mafia was and no one believed me and then they voted me out and I was right in the end so ha ha.

Tuesday: I went on exchange with hermana Beck in the Spanish area! Heavenly Father knew I needed more than just one culture in my mission so I live with hermanas and my companion is leading the mission in Punjabi work. So epic. Anyways hma Beck taught a lesson completely in Spanish I kind of just... sat there. But it was awesome! And I felt the spirit the whole time. We were teaching a lady who owns a panaderia (bakery) and the bakery was so cold there was no heating so I was just shivering the whole time but it was awesome. It's mostly 60's as highs so not freezing but I am constantly cold so I have no idea how I survived the winter in Utah. We went tracking up in Biggs and found someone who was super nice and willing to hear us out! We talked to him and his little daughter and they were so nice. It was epic. We also visited Israel who is a recent convert and had abuelitas hot chocolate which is superior to all other hot chocolates. We had greasy Mexican food twice that day and my tummy was not happy and rejected all of it that night. Not ideal but my tummy felt a lot better after that.

Wednesday: I got a baller live oak sweatshirt and had dinner with the Eccles family who I LOVE. The mom Amanda is dealing with some similar medical problems as my sister Emily so we were able to bond over that. Her son kael is our branch mission leader for the ysa so we hang out with him a lot and after dinner him and his sister Paige came to our lesson with Daniel and Caroline. We had a really awesome lesson about enduring to the end and I asked Daniel if he had anything to add at the end of the lesson and he just pointed at Caroline and she pulled out this piece of paper. She had written out her baptism program and asked me if I could baptize her!!!!! As honored as I was I let kael explain the priesthood and she was okay with it. Caroline is getting baptized December 10th and I am literally exploding. I'm begging that I'll be able to stay one more transfer to be here for everything. Transfers are Dec 7th.

Thursday: ZONE CONFERENCE WOOT WOOT and it was in gridley so we only had to drive 15 minutes. The theme was a more excellent way talking about humility. It was very spiritual and incredible. Two missionaries are always asked to speak and they have every missionary prepare a 5 minute talk and president talley picks them the day of and they figure out they're speaking as the meeting is conducted so it is sressssfulllllll especially if you haven't prepared. I had a bomb talk that I wrote that morning but hma Beck was picked and her talk was so so powerful.

Friday: another exchange with hma Lunsford! We met sweet Carlos who just talks and talks and talks and he was saying something about the 10 tribes and I didn't catch a lot because it was mostly spanglish. I had a super awesome and spiritual day and we ended up going to a Renaissance dinner that the gridley high school theater was putting together and it was SO AWESOME it felt like I was back in my theater days. I miss high school theater so much. The elders even went up and joined in a dance it was so epic.

Saturday: Daniel's sister got baptized! Destinie is very cool and it was very spiritual. The days seem to be getting longer and the weeks shorter and Saturday was very long but by the end of the day I was wondering where the time went.

Sunday: four hours of church and some pumpkin pie and sour cream from kael. Crazy day.

Have an amazing awesome fantastic week and please message me on Facebook messenger I love to hear from all of you💖💖💖💖
