Sister Sumsion: 10/25/22
Subject: HYPE THEM TO BAPTISM
Wowowowowow how is it already another week and another email and the END OF THE TRANSFER. I get to stay in Gridley/Live Oak woot woot. That is literally the best ever because I never want to leave my awesome house. It is referred to as the live oak mansion because it is 3 bed 2 bath and a sun room and a massive living room (and a couch don't tell president) I am also getting a new trainer! Sister stow is going up to willows and I get to be comps with sister ramesh!! She is very very cool and I have met her a couple times so I am very excited to do the work here in gridley with her. Even though I'm leading the area as a baby please pray for me.
This weekend is my first baptism! Daniel is getting baptized and even though he tells us every other day that he doesn't want to do this we know he does and that he is working on growing his faith. It has been a lot of back and forth but everything is finally coming together. It is super special that he is getting baptized on the 29th because in my very first lesson with him when we put him on date he was looking at his calendar for a very long time and in my head the spirit whispered "october 29th" and I thought that over and over and over. And then he chose october 8th. I was so pooped but it was okay. The next week we told him that he would have to marry his fiance before he could get married and he texted us and asked to push it back later so that he could figure it out and he asked if the 29th would work. I knew it was the spirit confirming what it told me. Daniel is so awesome and his life is going to be changed forever because of this. He also LOVES the temple videos.
Marcos our returning member took the sacrament this week and got garments back both for the first time in ten years. I asked him how he felt putting garments back on and he just said "safe". What a blessing it is to have that protection at all times and to feel safe. He also refers to the temple as home and says he wants to go home soon. Hopefully we will be able to do an endowment with him in the next month! Marcos Is literally the coolest guy I know.
Fun moments:
-Last night we dropped by our branch presidents house and his collar was popped and he had a CHAIN. Very cool guy
-during weekly planning a cockroach crawled into our room and then we killed it and then I started crawling around like a bug and then my stomach felt awful from all the chili I ate and then I threw up
-I got to tie a quilt during an exchange and it felt just like being at my aunt's house tying a quilt before a wedding
I love and miss you all! Take the time to go to the temple and read the book of mormon it will change your life!!!!!!
