I got kicked out of Big Lake!!😝

Spencer Neel <spencer.neel@missionary.org>

Hello everyone!! I'm a week late again but I'll get better at writing every week! Happy late Thanksgiving and the best season is coming up, CHRISTMAS⛄️🎄✨️ so merry early Christmas! It's seriously the best time of the year.

To start out the week we went on exchanges with our zone leaders and I went up to Midland with Elder Griggs. He is such a funny and awesome guy and he taught me a lot about how to  teach by the Spirit. We had a lot of opportunities to do it because we had 5 lessons in one night! It was awesome meeting so many people and being able to grow my teaching abilities. Our other zone leader, Elder Farnworth, is trying to convert one of the pastors in Big Lake while he was down there. He's actually making some good progress so that's been a huge highlight.

We had Thanksgiving 🦃 with some members in Rankin which is a small town west of Big Lake. They are seriously the coolest people!! We helped replace their fence before we ate because their dogs kept getting out. Man hard labor before eating is the way to go! We had the softest turkey I have ever had and they have always been so good to us. I will always love and remember the Linnsenmanns.

I am officially leaving Big Lake!! After just one transfer I'm moving up to Lubbock in the Quaker Heights North area! It's a newly reopened Spanish area and I am so pumped to start using my Spanish!!! I'm going to miss Big Lake so much and especially my companion but I'm ready for this new adventure I'm about to go on. It was seriously the biggest surprise though to be one and done in Big Lake! I thought my companion was going to leave but he's staying and training another missionary while I got moved. There's always surprises in the mission, but they are always good surprises ☺ I'm on to fulfill my call of giving people the chance to hear the Gospel in their native language of Spanish. I'm so thankful and humble to be given this opportunity by the Lord. He is so good and I'm ready to serve this new area with all I got.

This one's a little shorter because I've been packing and getting ready for transfers but I'm just thankful to write! The new Light The World is about to start for this year and I invite all of you to go check it out. There are so many cool ways that we can bring the light of our Savior during this Christmas season. All of them are simple but can be life changing. Alma 37:6 says "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass." This saying is true. The simplest things, the simplest acts of kindness, the simple acts of bringing light will become great. Our world needs His light more than ever and you all can be the reason for it and be the reason why someone feels the Savior's love for them. Nothing could be more amazing than that.

I love you all and I hope it's been a wonderful few weeks for you!! Until next time my friends and family,
