Changes Bring Growth

¡Hola mi familia y a mis amigos!
This week was definitely different than any other week I have had. As I said last week, this week was a transfer. This was the first time in the mission that I have switched companions and areas and it has been so much fun. I love my new area. I am in Caaguazú right now and it is very different from the city but it is awesome. It is a much smaller city/town in the middle of Paraguay. It is a lot more calm than Asuncíon. Also the language that I talked about in my last email every single person here speaks Guaraní. It has been a fun challenge. Everyone always tells me that I need to start learning Guaraní. What people do not realize is that I am still learning Spanish! It will be good though because it pushes my Spanish to be better and I can start learning some phrases in Guaraní and hopefully by the time I leave this area I can have Spanish down and start learning Guaraní.
I also have a new companion! His name is Elder Richards and he is from Ohio and he is twenty years old and also went to the Air Force academy before the mission so that is super cool. As I said in my last email too we both just finished our training so it has been a different experience because our Spanish is good but we are definitely both still learning. He started his mission here in this area so I am just trying to get to know everyone. We have such amazing members here in Caaguazú. So many of them are just so willing to come work with us and come on visits. They are all also so willing to feed us which is always such a plus.
We have been so blessed this week with miracle after miracle. This week was one of my most successful weeks as a missionary. We got so many new friends to teach. We got someone on a date for baptism and we are feeling confident in it because her husband is a returning missionary and right now he is a councilor in a branch. Her name is Liz and we are just having patience with her because in the past she has been on date for baptism and we feel she was pushed to do it too quickly so she got scared. So hopefully on December 17th we can have her baptism. This week too we have six of our friends come to church! We are so blessed and we are so happy with all the things that happened this week because we were both interested to see how this week would go. Prayer has been such an important thing this week. With all the changes and challenges and successes this week I have been on my knees asking for help, guidance, giving thanks. It is such an amazing gift that God has given us. Constant prayer is such an important thing in the world because we need God's guidance in all things everyday. I know that if you are feeling down, sad, lost, out of control, depressed, anything I know that you can turn to our Heavenly Father and pray and you can receive guidance for your problems.
Well that was this crazy week! Thank you all for reading this email and supporting me in my mission! Love you all so much I hope and pray that you all have an amazing week!
Love Elder Acor
