Elder Neel: 10/20/22
Hello friends and family!!! Okay to start off real quick I've got to give a quick shoutout to my family because they are the MOST AMAZING PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!! Ryen is an amazing singer and is the nicest person you will ever meet. Kyler is so strong nobody beats him in an arm wrestling contest and is always so pumped up and fun to be with. Hayden is the best runner you will ever see and has the best smile in the world. If you haven't seen it yet you're missing out. My sister Alaycia is GETTING MARRIED IN A WEEK AND A HALF and I cannot tell you how excited I am for her. She is the most loving person in the world and her soon to be husband Cameron is so blessed to have her for eternity🙂 My mom is the most kind and wonderful person and she always turns outward for others. She has been my support and I am so so grateful for her. My dad is one of my best friends ever and I am so thankful for his example in my life. He also taught me a new song in Spanish that I might have to sing for you all sometime. I love my family so much and they are my world. I am so grateful for their examples and their love. They are the reason where I am at right now.
What a week it has been, I leave for Texas in 5 days, can you believe it!?!? Time flies by so fast and I am ready to use all my training and get to work serving the people of Lubbock Texas and bring them closer to Christ. My district started SYL week which is Speak Your Language. We can only talk in Spanish for our last week and if someone doesn't understand us my companion or someone else in the district has to translate for me. It is so hard!!!! I love Spanish with all my heart but speaking it 24/7 now has taken a slight toll on me, but I know God is with me throughout it all.
Elder Grummert and I got to greet our first and last group of new missionaries!! Like I said in my last email, we have the wonderful opportunity to welcome missionaries that come early to the MTC and show them around and make them feel at home. At first only two Elders showed up, but after the evening devotional we got almost fifteen more!! I loved meeting all of them and kind of showing them the ropes. I remember my first day at the MTC and it felt so foreign and different and I just wanted those Elders to know they are taken care of and loved.
I love you all so much and I want you to know I keep you all in my prayers. You are a source of strength for me and I will be forever grateful for that. The next time I send one of these out I will be in Texas and I am so excited. I am ready and I will go and do the will of the Lord always. I testify to you all that God lives. I know He is our Heavenly Father and that He loves each and everyone of us personally. His son Jesus Christ also loves us more than we could ever comprehend. They care and want to be in your lives always, we just have to let them in! You all are amazing and always find ways to bring people closer to Christ. I promise you as you do this you will feel so much joy and peace in your lives! God is a loving God and I testify of this with all my heart.
With much love to you all,
Elder Nee
