Week 42: Avocados the size of my head (Last week)
Hello my good friends!!! Oh how time MOVES!! Im pretty sure yesterday was Monday and i just started MTC. and yet here we are. Time goes much faster than i wish it would.
This week was a good one!!! TO START OFF!!! this is out of order but we're gonna start with the best. We had our lesson with Anthony and his family this week!! We walked up and they saw us from the window so they opened the door quick and were so excited to see us! when we came in, they told us they had made us dinner. and it was DELISH. can i just say i have never heard of that happening? THEY asked US to come teach, THEY made US dinner. its too good to be true. so we met Julianna his wife, and their two cutest daughters, Elizabeth and Josephine. They are the sweetest. So we sat and ate our really good chilli and taught the restoration! and it was PERFECT. they were asking questions and very involved. Anthony pulled out his Bible and i thought oh HERE it comes. they invited us here to bash. But no! he says, this is what i have a problem with that you just taught, and this is why. and shows us the scriptures. and we were able to back up what we said, also with the scriptures!! He thought by crazy marked quad was the coolest thing ever, and we ended up teaching the doctrine of Christ as well. it was just such an amazing meeting. And they made us CAKE. it was soo gooooood. i swear to you i almost cried. they are so golden. please please please pray that theyre not messing with us lol. its like a dream. anthony asked how many "lessons" there were and we told him there were three main ones, and he goes alright honey we're gonna be having three meals with scout and megan!! then. you guys. they gave us home grown avocados. four of them. theyre massive. absolutely massive. theyre like here!! have some of our fresh beautiful home grown golden investigator avocados!! please!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? it was perfect. then on sunday we talked about them in ward council, and our elders quorum president was like wait. this guy? and we were like wait. yeah? and it turns out that anthony and brother cooper work together!! he told us he was a great guy and that hed talked to him about the church a little bit, but not too much. he wished us luck and told us hed be praying!! it was AMAZING!! miracles yall.
on a less awesome note lol, we met with skyler this week for the first time. and probably the last. cause we taught the restoration and he ended up telling us- in the calmest, nicest voice i can imagine- that our missions were a waste of time and that we were a menice to society because we werent using our skills to better the world. ouch. he also told us that part of Jesus' sacrifice was that.... he went to Hell. so that was one id never heard before. it was just all around crazy and not great. woo hoo!!
The rest of our dear homies:
Alex: is not ghosting us anymore!! he opened up to us about feeling like because he slipped back into old habits, he wasnt worthy to talk to God. we helped him have the confidence to pray, and he told us he felt God more then than he had in weeks. <3
David: He has finally told us that God has told him to quit smoking! that is a huge step! and he came to the whoooole first hour of church yesterday!! so exciting. (unfortunately it was fast and testimony and there is just a totally crazy lady in our ward and she got up and sang like she was on broadway for her testimony. nice. he was like hm... interesting.)
Neil: we have reevaluated what he needs with him and we are going to go back through the lessons, in hopes that we can help him feel ready for baptism (cause he is)
Richard: told us.... that God had told him not to read the Book of Mormon. so... thats a step backwards. just in case it wasnt obvious, hes not getting baptized this week haha
the Mansfields: we are working on getting them active ministers so they feel welcome and excited to come to church!!
Michael: we taught the Plan of Salvation yesterday, it went pretty good but be praying that he will be humble enough to recieve answers!!

Hello beautiful people! This week was quick bit quiet. So here's the rundown!!
• we built a fence with the mansfields!
• the young women had a surprise party for me with ice cream for my birthday 🥰
• we met another deaf man and his name is lyle!! We hope to start teaching him :)
• we had an awesome lesson with david and a member friend named mckiethan!
• we biked in the rain for 2 hours!
• Florida is wonderful!
