Liberty Jail

¡Hola mi familia y a mis amigos!

For those of you that do not know I am still here in the CCM! Woo hoo! I am joking it has not been the funnest thing. So all the missionaries heading out had to get Covid tests on Saturday so I got my test. Sunday afternoon rolls around and they tell me that I tested positive and that I have to stay here another week. Not only that but I had to isolate myself in a house for the next five days. There are four of us Elders total that tested positive so I had some company. We would wake up, do lots of studying and then just sit around all day. We would get our food delivered and that is about it. Very boring things.

If you have seen my Facebook I have been trying to post once a day about a topic about the gospel. It has been a fun experience finding a gospel topic to talk about. Share my testimony with my friends and family then I always end it with a question. That is my favorite part because I get to hear others opinions and get to see what they think about the topic as well. It is so fun. Now today was our first day out of the house and we went to the temple which was amazing. It was very cool that the first place I visited after five days was the temple. Now we have a new district! An all Hispanic district where they all speak Spanish. It is going to be a new struggle and challenge for sure.

Right before I had to go into isolation I was talking with the CCM president and his wife. Hermana Kirkham told me that this experience was going to be my liberty jail experience. Yes while that may be a little far fetched with us having phones and a computer and good food everyday I saw where she was coming from. I went from talking with and seeing so many people to nothing. It was very difficult to see all the people in my district going to the field and seeing everyone enjoy their missions while I am stuck here. I took this time to pray to God anytime I got a prompting and just talk to him for a while. I read the scriptures for hours and just really tried my best to understand why I was going through this. Now we have about three days until hopefully we get to go to the field and I have never been more excited. Next week I promise I will be in Paraguay.

That is it for this crazy week! Love you all and hope you have the best week ever!

¡Adios!

Love Elder Acor
