The Book of Mormon Can Be our Shield
¡Hola mi familia y a mis amigos!
This week is the last week of CCM! Next week I will be emailing you from the amazing country of Paraguay! I can not tell you guys how excited I am to get out there and to start serving. I know that the Lord has prepared me for this moment my whole life and that he has given me amazing examples and the Book of Mormon to help me along the way.
This week was very spiritual and very challenging with my Spanish. My companion and I have been able to teach lessons to our teachers and that has been so amazing. While it is challenging to speak in Spanish on the spot and make mistakes it has allowed me to grow so much. I have been able to force myself to memorize lessons and memorize so much more Spanish. Truly has been a blessing to teach. Then this week we had two amazing devotionals. I just love our devotionals so much and they will definitely be one of the things I miss the most from the CCM. I learned a lot about the importance of missionary work and how to improve and also how I can use the Book of Mormon more in my life.
Going into more depth in that last line with how we can use the Book of Mormon. Just yesterday we had a devotional with the CCM President and his wife and they really talked about many different aspects of the Book of Mormon. One such aspect that stood out to me the most is how the Book of Mormon can be our shield and our protector. I think that these are statements that I have heard throughout my entire life. Now more than ever though they stick out because of my missionary service. I am in a constant learning state when it comes to Spanish and I can get frustrated with it. I know that I can turn to the Book of Mormon and just read and find an answer. It can be a protector from all. Whatever you are struggling with and if you feel hopeless study the Book of Mormon. Look deep into the pages and pray for answers to your struggles. I promise you that God will answer your questions. Heavenly Father loves you and wants the best for you.
That is all from this week. I can not wait to be emailing you all from Paraguay next week! Love you all so much!
¡Adios!
Love Elder Acor
