Sister Gardner: 7/20/22
Hola hola amigos y familia!! It is my last week at the CCM so next time you hear from me I'll be in the beautiful land of Portland! This week has been awesome, and also a little bittersweet, we were able to go to the temple again. There's a giant Christus at the visitors center and we got to listen to a message in Spanish about Christ that was super good.
highlights>
1. jenga! My family brought jenga to class so we played it while practicing Spanish words. Thanks fam!
2. charades, watching someone try to act out humidity is absolutely hilarious!
3. English fast! This saturday our district went 24 hours speaking zero english. Wow it was hard, at dinner I was trying to talk about the movie "cloudy with a chance of meatballs" in spanish and almost started crying jaja, but I really felt the lord strengthen me and bless me with the gift of tongues that day. Ever since then, my Spanish has come so much more naturally!
4. Humberto! This is the gardener who gave us a bunch of fruit and we talked to him some more, got to help him with the gardening and sang his favorite song, "how great thou art" to him which was such a special experience.
5. Comp study was fuego yesterday. When you search the scriptures with real intent, amazing things happen
spiritual thought>
Never be afraid to ask God anything and always have faith that he will answer your questions. This week I have been trying to focus on developing my faith in Christ and also my love for his children. As we put all of our trust in him, we receive help and we are changed through the atonement of Jesus Christ. In Moroni 8:16 it says "perfect love casteth out all fear". the next week might be scary, but as I remember my love in Christ and trust that all things are possible through him, the fear leaves and I'm left with the spirit! Remember how great God is, he will bless your life!
Love you guys, I invite you all to read Christ is Risen, Faith in Him Will Move Mountains if you need a pick me up.
Te amo, Hermana Gardner
