Week 30: Getting Gains

Well hello you wonderful people!! What a week it has been!!! Monday night I got a fever and pRactically died. So we spent my last week in Waycross really sick. I had a fever from Monday night to Thursday afternoon. It was so fun. So we said goodbye to a lot of people when i was feeling good and just did our best to be productive. Not the send off i would have wished for, but the one I got. Im so grateful for Waycross and all that ive had the wonderful opportunity to learn there. Waycross will always be written on my heart :)

So Gainesville!! Although we seem to have lots of cockroaches living in our apartment, it is a good time here. Everyone is a big *puke* gator fan here so.... imma have to start walking around in my bulldogs shirt. Jk jk but for real people are scary big gators fans. Our ward is super nice, a lot younger of a ward than Waycross but... its the weirdest thing cause NO ONE HAS AN ACCENT. Am I even IN the south anymore???? The answer is no. The other weird thing is that like every adult in our ward went to BYU so that's just crazy. People are not as nice here, so that's been an adjustment, but its been good.

One fun experience I had this week was when we were looking for an inactive member named Christian. So I knocked on the door of the address we had and a man answered. Instead of saying "hi we're looking for Christian!" or "Is your name Christian?" I said "hi are you Christian?" which he interpreted to mean hey are you Christian the religion cause we're selling the gospel please let us tell you about how youre wrong and SO he shut the door in our face. Moral of the story, dont ever try to find anyone named Christian cause... yeah. Or just be smarter than me :))

Another fun thing I did this week was TOTALLY slice my finger open. We were moving sheet metal for a lady named Rhonda. And as I put it down I kinda just let it drop and felt something catch in my finger. It didnt hurt, but I knew it had cut me. So I look down and sure enough!! Bloody finger!! So Ive had my finger taped the rest of the week. Go team.

I love yall and hope yall have such a good week!! Remember that God loves you!!
