Elder Mills: 4/19/22

Well, it's been a couple of months since my last emails haha. During my time here a lot has happened so I'll just stick to the highlights.

Washington is nothing like Nevada, Utah, California or anyplace I have been. The weather is even more unpredictable from rain to snow to sun shine within an hour. It's fun to watch from inside the car but out walking around it can get old quick πŸ˜‚

The first area I served in was the pleasant Valley Ward in Centralia stake. I covered such lovely towns as Napavine, Adna and Pe Ell. I served there for 4 and a half months. My 3rd week there I went through a flood and for the next 6 weeks I might as well have been a service missionary πŸ˜‚ I helped remodel my apartment and repair all the flood damage throughout the area. Oh, I also saved two horses on a Kayak. Id share the story but I'm trying to keep this email short πŸ˜‚ email me if you want the full story 😁One of the many miracles I saw was that out of the entire ward and area my companion and I were the only ones who got water into the actual living space. I was annoyed at first but it's OK because I was meant to deal with that. Being displaced and worried is a lot easier for missionaries than it is for a family of 6. I made some incredible friends and will be back one day. I cannot emphasize enough how humble and heartfelt the members of that ward are.

Some people who are progressing towards baptism are Russell and Elizabeth. I may no longer be teaching them but prayers are still appreciated πŸ˜‚

I was transferred to the fairway village ward in the Vancouver east stake. It is incredible here. Absolutely stunning environment and experiences. We have someone on date that I have the amazing opportunity to see make her first Covenant. Her name is Debbie. Please pray for her.

I hope you are all doing well!! I think about you all constantly and am so thankful for the roles you've played in helping me get here.

Wishing you all the best
