Good Friday

Today is Good Friday...

In the early hours of the morning, Jesus is betrayed into the hands of the local authorities. After a series of one-sided trials, He is sentenced to death by crucifixion. Roman soldiers mock and scourge Him and nail Him to the cross. But instead of condemning them, Jesus Christ begs His Father to “forgive them; for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34). Even now, in His darkest moment, Jesus speaks of love and redemption.

As we review these events, we can also recall President Nelson's General Conference invitation to everyone to seek to end a personal conflict by Easter on April 17.

Could there be a more fitting act of gratitude to Jesus Christ for his Atonement? If forgiveness presently seems impossible, plead for power through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ to help you,” he said. “As you do so, I promise personal peace and a burst of spiritual momentum.

And, this evening marks the beginning of Passover. If you want to make the unleavened bread that Jen Hammond shared with us last Sunday, find the recipe here.

Come worship on Easter Sunday

Our Easter Sunday meetings will include beautiful music and messages of hope. What better day to find peace and remember and renew our covenants to follow Christ... We would love to share this celebration of our Savior with all our friends and neighbors.

What we’re reading

This week our Come Follow Me reading includes a selection of scriptures focusing on the life and mission of Jesus Christ.
