Xin chàooooooo gia đình!
The cutest Puerto Rican Grandma would start talking to us and then ask, "do you want to see it??" And then after the full explanation of it she would go, "and that's the story!" This cute Puerto Rican Grandma got baptized yesterday and it was incredible. I love Ms Eva Vasquez with my whole heart and soul.
I wish I could express how grateful I am for the past 18 months and 3 weeks of my life. Thinking of it ending makes me honestly want to cry. I have loved my mission so much and I am so grateful to God for it! He was serving me more than I could ever serve Him.
Here are some of the biggest lessons learned in each phase of my mission:
At home MTC: (3 months)
God loves me. He knows me. And He prepares the called.
Harlem: (5 months)
God loves His childern. He knows every single person on the streets of New York.
Queens: (4.5 months)
I am absolutely nothing, but to God I am everything.
Plainview: (6 weeks)
True confidence is confidence in the Lord!
Lynbrook: (4.5 months)
God created us to have JOY! Joy in the journey!
Manhattan: (6 weeks)
When we focus on God, our fears are calmed.
And seriously so much more.
Wow. It's been the BEST 18 months. I have loved it and could talk about it forever.
But instead, I will be giving my homecoming talk this Sunday the 23rd at 1785 E 400 S, Springville, UT 84663 @9am.
Everyone is so welcome to come and I would love to see you all! I can't thank you guys enough for the support you have given me over the past 18months. I have felt your love and prayers. So thank you thank you!!
And aren't we just living a good life??
Với tính yêu thương,
Chị Skinner
P.S. My beautiful Sister and Brother in law are parents! The greatest parents!! And I am an Aunt to the most beautiful baby!!!

| The week of 1/10/22 |
Xin Chào gia đình!!!
I love the quote, "make heaven crowded," because I just got off the most crowded subway cart ever and I want heaven to be THAT crowded.
Last week we had MLC and as a Manhattan zone we prayed and decided on 15 beautiful souls to be our goal for baptisms in the month of January. We recieved a lot of sceptism... but I just know there is 15 souls in the burrow of Manhattan ready to recieve the holy ghost.
We started a fast from Saturday Lunch to Sunday Lunch to fast for these 15 souls and here is already some of the amazing miracles!!
***copy and pasted from our grand zone chat***
ZONEEEEE
we wanna hear the miracles you are seeing thanks to our zone fast!!! 😎
We'll go first. Our dear friend Eva came to church today for the 3rd time ❤
who's next to share? 🙏
Sal came to church just in time to take the sacrament! Catch him at his baptism on the 16th😎👍
PICTURE THIS....
A member walks up to us after Relief Society
She has a 13yr old son
His name: GABE
Been coming to church most of his life .....
But then, his dad finally gave permission for him to get baptized!!!🥳🥳 #angelgabriel
Queen came to church, she'll be baptized next week🤩
We lost contact with one of our people who's on date for a couple days, He didn't come to church either. But we just called him and had a lesson and moved up his date a week!
We also put some people on date today for January 30th!!!👀
We moved up Janettes bap date for the 30th as well but she lives in Harlem👀 so there's a miracle for the harlem English sisters!
The Lord blessed us with our last find last minute, and we made our finding goal. Ran into Marlene again to help accomplish it!
We have been praying for prepared people and we had an awesome finding lesson in which she told us "I'm ready to make the change in my life now"🤍
We knocked on Jenitza's door last night & now she's finding a day we can come over and share our message with her husband and the rest of the kids :))
Following the spirit led to an on the spot lesson change, moments before we started. We asked our friend to turn to pg 135 in the Book of Mormon. He said that he had been reading amd lo and behold he opens to his book mark which was on page 135!!! We had a fuegooooo Gospel of Jesus Christ lesson because he had looked at the chapter earlier!!
Decades ago when Albania was communist, Zeni and his family were secretly Christian. If they were discovered they could be killed.
20+ years ago, american missionaries from our church visited his home and started teaching him. He worked in the government so people thought he was working with the FBI.
13 years after that, he ran into one of those missionairies in California. They are still in contact.
He recently had a death in his family. He was praying for help from God right before going outside for a walk. Elder @Aaron Berry and elder @Jackson Taylor talked to him.
He came to church yesterday. Followed the Spirit to have a lesson in the evening with him instead of right after church.
The power of the Spirit and the Book of Mormon, Mosiah 18, 16, and Alma 40.
Took him to baptism font and picture of Christ's baptism. He wants to be baptized.
Set date for January 23!
He said he wants to donate a peice of land he owns in Albania to the church.
God is hastening His work and if these miracles don't prove it I don't know what will!! Don't doubt it. Pray and fast for opportunities to share the gospel and you will see miracles!
Go make Heaven Crowded!!
Love,
Chị Skinner
