Xin Chào!!!

I LOVE NEW YORK!!!

I could just live here forever! I missed Manhattan so much. And the 6 train has so so so many people on it. I thought a year ago it was a lot. But I was wrong.

I told God at the beginning of this Transfer that these 6 weeks, I am going to give it to Him. Forget myself and just be a willing instrument.

Being in Manhattan means that there is people everywhere and that makes me feel like I need to talk to everyone! And I get scared every single time. But when I think that I am doing it for God, it has gotten easier to just talk to people.

I met Julio this week, a guy who loved to Box! He knew of "mormons" and Joseph Smith and all that and didn't know the reason for all of it. I did a breif summary of the restoration and I felt the spirit so strong right there outside a cigarette shop. He lives in the Bronx. But he gave me his number for the missionaries to reach out. He then told the missionaries that he was excited to learn more about the book of mormon!

I met Malinda this week! A soon to be mom! She didn't know what to believe about Jesus Christ and just wanted the best for her child on the way! She had the cutest jacket on.

I met Mike this week. He wore an eye patch and all we did was ask him if he wanted to come to church. He gave us his number so we could send him the address and you know what? He came!!

Eva is the cutest Spanish grandma ever and we found her this week! After sacrament meeting she came up to me and gave me the longest hug and wow. Who knew I needed a hug?

I got to meet Audrey in person this week!! I taught her back in Harlem!!! She came to the Christmas party and wow. What a miracle!! She lives in my area!!!

I met Jarvis this week and he had the coolest colorful jacket I have ever seen! And he is an actor! We had the most amazing discussion about plays, which led to the book of mormon, which led to me giving him a book of mormon, which led him to read 3 nephi 11 and 12! And he actually lives in our area.

I could go on about Gio and his friend in the projects... he came to church though! Or Wanda and Jonay who were so excited to learn about the book of mormon. The projects definitely have stories!

But I just wanna close with when you give yourself to God, you will be more happy! You will find your real self.

And isn't it so cool that we are all Childern of a Loving Heavenly Father???

And aren't we just living a good life?

Love,

Chị Skinner
