RS Newsletter 12/3/21
In the news
Hopefully we’re in touch with friends and neighbors and are staying connected. But it’s a trick to keep up… If you’re aware of some news that would be good to share here, please send me a note.
- Happy news for the Sumsions… Holly welcomed baby Leo (named after Linda’s grandfather) and Kevin is engaged! We share the excitement of this growing family.
- Pauline shared a “small world” connection in her good news. One of her grandsons was recently engaged, and another grandson was recently married—to our friend Katelynn Vaughn. Hooray for both families!
- Our hearts are with Marlene Safsten and her family at this time. Marlene’s sister recently passed away. We love you, Marlene.
A note of thanks
It was fun to spend time in service with several of you this week. We are nearly done with our Comfort Quilts project thanks to your generosity. A special shout out to those who organized the efforts, offered space in their homes, loaned frames and donated supplies, and are finishing up the binding!
Dinner next Thursday?
The ward Christmas dinner will be held on December 9 at 6:00. Bring a friend, join your neighbors… the delicious food and festivities promise to help you feel the Christmas spirit!
If you would like to bring something for the meal but didn’t get a chance to sign up yet, check out what’s still needed here.
What we’re reading
This week our Come Follow Me reading is D&C 137-138, “The Vision of the Redemption of the Dead.”
