So much service

We see so much service blessing the lives of both givers and recipients. Thank you for caring for and loving neighbors close to home and further away.

General Conference… just 16 days to go!

Didn’t Marlene Safsten’s talk in Sacrament meeting get you excited for the upcoming General Conference? She reminded us of the guidance President Nelson has offered in recent conferences, and she shared her family members’ responses to this question: “How do you like to prepare for conference?”

*What are you doing to prepare for this blessed weekend?

What we’re talking about

Last Sunday,  Shannon Acor led us in a great discussion of President Nelson’s conference addresses “What We Are Learning and Will Never Forget.” I seem to forget things faster than ever these days… So reviewing this talk from last April was a good thing! In his message, President Nelson asked us to “Think back on the past two years. How have you grown? What have you learned?” The answers from our RS sisters were varied and thought-provoking.

What we’re reading

This week our Come Follow Me reading is D&C 102-105, “After Much Tribulation … Cometh the Blessing.”

In times of tribulation, I love listening to this beautiful meditation offered by Sissel in the 2019 Pioneer Concert with the Tabernacle Choir—Know that He is God.

Family History

FYI, the Springville Family History Center has a new website with useful information: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Springville_Utah_Family_History_Center.

The Family History Center was briefly open with limited hours, but has decided to adjust their reopening plan and follow the temple phases to protect staff and patrons. The Center is currently open with limited hours by appointment. Appointments can be made online by visiting https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Springville_Utah_FamilySearch_Center/Appointments and clicking the Reservation link.
