A lesson with Dennis the menace, and John the coolest recent convert around town: 

Us: "is there anything we can pray for you Dennis?" 

Dennis: "just clarity and guidance." 

Us: "yes we would love to pray for that! What about you John?" 

John: "Jackson. ... just so you know Dennis, Jackson's my cat."

Us: ***trying so hard not to die of laughter

Dennis: ****dying of laughter 

John: ***dead serious

Just so you know, Jackson the cat is also a legend around here. We love that cat. Not as much as we loved that lesson with those heroes, but pretty close. 

Plainview is made up of legends. 

In the words of Sister Hilmo,"This week there have been so many spiritual uplifting moments, miracles, and blessings. We also have had tears from laughter, running after fireflies, and an excessively large amount of otterpops." 

🚨Warning: missionaries do not try this in your own area, because members are key! But...🚨

We got our friend Steve, another legend, to church yesterday!! This was a huge success! Steve has not wanted to come to church for a lot of reasons. We cant even convince him to allow members in his lessons. 

But finally this week we call him up and I ask him, "Steve, just hear me out, what if we lowkey get you into church. We could sneak you in? You wouldn't have to talk to anyone, We will even wear black like ninjas!" He laughed at the idea and actually said he liked it. But also went back to his normal response, "we will see if I am feeling good on Sunday" 

Well, sunday comes around and we are out greeting people when we get a call from THIS legend, and tells us that the door he normally goes through is locked!! 

And yes. Yes we did run through the halls like ninjas wearing all black. And yes. Yes Steve came to church!!! 

I wish I could tell you that our ninja skills helped with him coming. But it was most definitely God. We prayed all week that Steve would continue to feel good and to come! And he did feel good and he did come! So please keep praying that Steve feels good! Cause God is good! 

Another legend this week is Jeff. 

We went on exchanges this past week and I went with THEE Sister Hughes, and we are the only ones who can drive. So my companion and her companion just stayed at our church alllll day long. But at the very beginning. Sister Blanchard told Sister Hilmo that they were going to carry around this book of mormon all day and they are going to give it to someone. The book of mormon represented faith, God was going to provide!

Well, we come back from our exchange at 8:30pm and in walks this other guy, jeff. We tell him that he belongs here and of course he can walk through! But it turns out, he isn't a member and he was out doing deliveries that day and passed by the church and remembered when he used to come. He decided to walk in. So all four of us have this lesson for an hour and each of us bearing our testimonies of the book of mormon to him. It was absolutely incredible. 

I am always going to carry around a book of mormon for the rest of my life. 

I could probably tell another story or two. Like how our power went out and the alarm went off in our apartment and we had a Joseph smith moment. 

Or how Jessica and Frank are the grandest and they are both progressing along the covenant path! 

Or how much our YSA friend, Diana loves David Archuleta and we could teach about the Plan of Salvation. 

Or how I met this cute couple whose sister lives in springivlle and is actually in my ward!!!

Or how the family that we are teaching speaks chinese and that makes my whole soul happy and how they came to church on sunday! 

This is alllll of God's grand work! He is in the smallest of the smallest of details. 

YOU ARE EXACTLY WHERE YOU NEED TO BE AND GOD IS WORKING IN YOUR LIVES!!!!! 

"I know that when we turn to Heavenly Father, miracles happen" 

So turn to your Father in Heaven. He got you! He loves you! 

And I love you all too!!
