There’s an app for that. JustServe.

Check out this 3-minute clip of the Fat Fender Garage doing good in their community—and you can’t help but feel a little happier and a little inspired. The JustServe app can help you find volunteer opportunities for a variety of scenarios: for groups or individuals, onsite or from home, tailored for a specific skill set or age group, within a specified distance…. Give it a shot and let us know what you find.

Queen Pauline – Congratulations!

Pauline Hartvigsen was recently recognized as the TOPS Utah State Queen… Here’s part of her amazing story.

I’m a member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) support group, and also the Coordinator of Utah State TOPS.  Over the many years that I’ve been a member, this is the third time I’ve lost the same 70 pounds.  I truly believe that losing weight is mainly, as they say, 90% mind and 10% diet and exercise.  This third time between my mind set, setting goals with my son (mostly relating to my self-esteem) and TOPS, I surpassed it and I’ve lost 108 pounds. In TOPS we honor in several ways, we honor the best losers of the week, month, and year.  Then the winner goes on and competes state wide, then international.  Well, I was pronounced the Utah State Queen, for losing the most weight in the state, last weekend at the state convention.  It was a NATURAL HIGH to be there with all the support I received from my entire family, friends and my TOPS members.  But most important is the way I feel about myself and how active I’ve become just doing it a little at a time, just one step at a time.

Getting to know you… Heather Bonner

Yes, a little bit about me.  I am a Springville native and my maiden name is Lifferth. My husband Matt is from this ward and we recently moved in with his parents, Heather and Terry Krieger, after living in Alabama and California for his grad school and work.  We are happy to be back in the area and love Springville! We are not sure how long we will be in the ward because we are shopping for a house in this crazy market. We have 3 girls Yvonne (6), Noelle (4), Josephine (2) plus another girl on the way in October.  My favorite things are being in nature and sewing.

Happy Birthday to you
